Minimum Requrements for RLC Blackboard

For full Blackboard functionality, you must meet or exceed the following system requirements:

Windows Users:

  • Intel Pentium II/AMD K6-2 Processor, 350mhz
  • 64mb RAM (256mb recommended)
  • Windows 98 Second Edition/Me/2000/XP
  • 56K Internet connection (384K recommended)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
  • Sun Java 2 Runtime Environment version 1.4

Mac OS X Users:

  • PowerMac G3 or higher system
  • Mac OS X
  • 56K Internet connection
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 Mac or compatible browser
    (Firefox 1.1, Mozilla, and Safari will work)
  • Sun Java 2 Runtime Environment

If you do not have Java 2RE installed, you can download it for free from the RLC Software Directory.
